Thanks to the placements, more than 25 percent of Bernays students, already in their first year of study, achieve permanent engagements in their profession and, today, they successfully study and work at the same time

Cooperation with companies and a close relationship with lecturers coming from the real sector within the study verticals of communication and tourism is one of the biggest innovations implemented by Bernays in the field of higher education.

From the very beginning of its activities, Bernays has formed valuable partnerships, due to which students have at their disposal more than 130 institutions where, on real examples from practice, they learn from experienced Croatian and foreign professionals from the communication industry and the tourism sector.

Bernays students have the opportunity during their studies to be part of the business environment, broaden their horizons and make new acquaintances. During their five years of study, students participate in 1,000 hours of placements in several partner institutions of their choice.

Among the partner institutions of our communication studies are prominent Croatian companies, media companies and portals, creative agencies and agencies for integrated marketing communication, public relations or media buying, while tourism students participate in placements in well-known hotel chains, tourism companies, event and travel agencies, destination management agencies or local tourist boards.

Holding the most important status among Bernays' partners are learning bases, organizations, institutions, state administration bodies, local or regional self-government units, other state bodies or other legal entities with whom Bernays has entered into a contract on business cooperation, on the basis of which part of the teaching (professional work placement and field courses) can be organized in that business entity under the supervision of a Bernays teacher, and with the appropriate participation of expert persons-mentors in the capacity of employees of that entity, in accordance with the study programme and the curriculum of a specific study programme or other programme based on the principles of lifelong learning.

Business entities with the learning base status have the opportunity to take advantage of numerous benefits provided by Bernays as an academic partner and to participate in projects of social interest.

Professional placements

Bernays students complement the theoretical knowledge gained in classes during their studies with high-quality practical work that they perform as part of student placements with the aim of quality preparation for the end of their studies and easier inclusion in the labour market. Student placements are an obligatory part of Bernays’ study programmes.

Career counseling

Bernays students do not have difficulties finding employment. Every fourth student already finds their first student job in the profession during their studies, while 90% are employed within three months of completing their studies at Bernays.
